What are sublimation transfers

Sublimation transfers are a printing process used for decorating synthetic fabrics such as sportswear, banners, flags, and promotional products.

A special sublimation ink that turns into gas when exposed to heat is printed onto a transfer paper in a mirrored image. The transfer paper is then placed onto the substrate and subjected to high heat and pressure using a heat press or calender.

The heat causes the sublimation ink to turn into gas and bond with the fibers of the substrate, resulting in a permanent, vibrant, and high-quality print.

Sublimation transfers offer several advantages, including excellent durability, resistance to washing and abrasion, and eco-friendliness.

To get started, I recommend measuring the desired imaging area on your shirt or substrate and determining the measurements you want for your transfer(s). Once you have your measurements, simply select the sheet space size(s) that best fit your needs.

Before placing an order, feel free to email me your 'PRINT-READY' graphics or artwork to info@handcraftsbyirma.com if you're unsure of your graphic's quality, usability, and so on. However, if you're confident in your graphic's quality, you can place your order first and then email me your graphics.

I'm not a graphic design company and I don't provide pre-designed graphics for sale. I exclusively use YOUR ready-to-print designs for printing your custom sublimation transfers.

-Do not mirror/reverse your images. (I will do that for you.)
*If imaging 'non-mirror' substrates (cutting boards, glass tile, etc), let us know

⬣ VERY IMPORTANT⬣ To ensure that your transfers come out great, it's crucial to use high-quality files. If you use low-quality, blurry, internet-sized graphics (72dpi or less), you'll receive less than optimal transfers. If you're unsure about the quality of your files, please feel free to ask questions or send them to me before placing your order so I can assess their quality.

➤ As mentioned earlier, please note that we are not a graphic design shop. We don't create or produce graphics or artwork. The files you submit should be "PRINT READY" and not mirrored. If minor alterations are required, we may be able to provide them for an additional graphic fee. However, please contact us before placing your order to check graphic design availability.

Please be aware that refunds will not be issued if you place an order with the expectation of receiving design creation.

➤ It's important to note that dye sublimation doesn't involve the use of white ink and isn't suitable for imaging on dark/black fabrics. If there's any white in your graphic, it will be devoid of color, as no ink will be used. As a result, the color of the shirt will show in the white areas of your graphic.

➤ Dye sublimation is suitable for use on WHITE or LIGHT-COLORED polyester fabrics or hard goods that are SPECIALLY COATED for dye sublimation technology. For the most vivid and full-color results, it's best to use 100% polyester. While poly blend fabrics can be used, the outcome will have a lighter, more vintage look.
